Capcom unveiled the Chainsaw Demo for Resident Evil 4 Remake during their Spotlight event. Players can now get their hands on the demo available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam with no time limit.
The demo allows players to explore an early portion of the game that mirrors the original demo on the GameCube and sets the stage for the highly anticipated remake's launch on March 24. Capcom also released a new teaser website with previews and a backstory for the game.
The demo is really fun and shows that the remake changes from the original but still keeps enough to feel like you are still playing your favorite game that continues to inspire amazing 3rd-person shooters to this day with innovative, at the time, controls and storytelling.
The demo takes you through the same areas you will recognize, with major changes to the first house and courtyard. At least the village chainsaw area remains similar to the original game, including the difficulty of fighting the mob coming for you. Good luck finishing the demo, and watch out for that chainsaw!
