The gaming world has been buzzing with the news of upcoming portable gaming devices being #SteamDeck Killers. Read More to find out.

The gaming world has been buzzing with the news of upcoming portable gaming devices, and the two names that have been thrown around as potential Steam Deck killers are the Ayaneo Air and the ROG Ally. But do these devices have what it takes to dethrone the Steam Deck?

Before we dive in, let’s address the elephant in the room. The title “Steam Deck Killer” has been used by many outlets to grab attention, but in reality, these devices won’t be killing the Steam Deck anytime soon. At best, they’ll be contenders for the crown. That being said, let’s take a closer look at these devices and see what they offer.

The Ayaneo Air Plus is a pocket-sized device with an impressive 6800U APU and a 46 Wh battery. It’s a powerful little device that could take the crown for the best portable PC gaming device. However, the software bundled with the Ayaneo Air could be its downfall. Software is everything for a gaming device; if the Ayaneo Air Plus doesn’t deliver a seamless experience, it could fall short.

On the other hand, the ROG Ally is a new contender for the crown, and it comes with a more desirable price tag. The base version of the ROG Ally is priced at $599, and the Z1 Extreme version is only $699. The performance of the ROG Ally is also impressive, with estimates suggesting it could be 1.5 to 2 times better than the Steam Deck, depending on the game and TDP.

However, like the AYANEO Air Plus, the ROG Ally’s success will depend on its software. Windows and the software bundled with the ROG Ally will have to prove themselves to gamers who are used to the seamless experience of the Steam Deck.

So, who will be the king of 2023? It’s hard to say, but the Steam Deck will probably remain the most popular device due to its seamless console-like experience, great support, and popularity. The ROG Ally will give the Steam Deck some serious competition and could force Valve to announce their plans for the future.

Ultimately, the Steam Deck will likely win the popular vote and remain the go-to portable gaming device. However, there might be two categories where the Steam Deck falls short, and that’s where devices like the Ayaneo Air and ROG Ally will shine.

In conclusion, it’s important to remember that these devices won’t kill the Steam Deck anytime soon. They will, however, be contenders for the crown, and gamers will have more options for portable PC gaming. Whether you’re a die-hard Steam Deck fan or open to new options, it’s an exciting time to be a gamer.
